Karunakaran celebrates 89th birthday

Thrissur, June 23 (UNI) Democratic Indira Congress(K) leader K Karunakaran today celebrated his 89th birthday in Guruvayoor.

He worshipped Lord Krishna at Guruvayoor and offered 'Kadhalikula' and received 'Prassadam' from the chief priest.

For the birthday he performed two 'Thulabharams', one with sugar and the other with tender coconuts, as an offer of Kunchiraman of Mannarkkad and Dr Ramachandran of Guruvayoor respectively.

A birthday feast was also arranged in the Mahaaraja Tourist Home by the DIC.

His family members also participated in the birthday celebrations.
