ITO arrested for accepting 4 lakh bribe

New Delhi, June 23 (UNI) The CBI today arrested an Income Tax Officer posted at Yamuna Nagar here for accepting Rs four lakh bribe from a company owner.

S K Verma was caught by the Anti-Corruption Branch sleuths of the CBI while accepting Rs four lakh at his residence in Yamuna Nagar for showing favours to the complainant in an Income tax case, according to the CBI.

Incriminating documents, establishing his motive to accept bribe was recovered from his office.
