Hutch introduces Fun Cards
Hyderabad, Jun 23 (UNI) Claiming as 'first ever' innovation in the cellular service industry providing Value Added Services (VAS) 'in a tangible form', Hutch, a pure play cellular service provider, today introduced Fun Cards- a scratch card with preredefined content- for its prepaid and postpaid subscribers.
Offering subscribers multiple choices of differentiated and updated content, the company said currently, fun cards are available in three categories- Ringtones, Caller Tunes and Caller Tunes Shuffle. These cards are preloaded with specific content so that the subscriber can choose from the many options. Content currently covers categories like Bollywood, international, classics, devotional and regional hits.
A set of three ringtones will cost Rs 20 per card and the Caller Tunes subscription ranges from Rs 40-45 per month depending on the subscribers options. Each SMS to 123 will be charged at Rs 2 additionally. The facility is extended to both pre paid and billing Hutch subscribers.
Launching the facility initially at Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Hutchison Essar Ltd chief operating officer Hamir Bakshi said Fun Cards will dramatically boost usage of VAS in smaller towns as it offers a simple SMS method to activate and enjoy the service.
Hutch will soon introduce Fun Cards for wall papers, games and special occasions.
The company which had 9.2 lakh subscribers by May this year, expects to cross 'one million' mark by July 2006.
