Hurix, Cathay pacific into global e-learning marketing agreement
Mumbai, Jun 23 (UNI) Hurix systems today announced the signing of an agreement with Cathay Pacific Airways for marketing e-learning modules from the latter's library of training courses to airlines all over the world.
Apart from selling these modules, Hurix will customise Cathay Pacific's course content as per the requirement of each client airline.
Talking to reporters Hurix systems COO Vishwamitra Hariharan said, ''The partnership will give us the opportunity to use test and further develop our product development skills, systems and process''. Cathay pacific has some of the finest training modules in the aviation industry, he added.
Cathay Pacific Manager (Ground Training), Alan Glen said, ''the global marketing agreement with Hurix will help us to convert our intellectual property into revenue earning assets and enable other airlines to learn from our experience in a way that is both practical and economical''.
The worldwide boom in the airline industry has created a growing gap between the demand for and supply of qualified personnel, which in turn has caused a severe shortfall in the number of qualified trainers, Cathay Pacific-Hurix marketing tie-up aims to address this opportunity, both said.
Cathay Pacific's e-learning modules will enable airlines to train their personnel in areas such as mandatory safety and emergency procedures, aircraft performance, pre-flight check, cabin crew induction and operation procedure for ground crew.
Apart from helping them address their personnel requirements, these modules will also save the user airlines a lot of time and money, which will ultimately impact their bottom lines, both added.
