Hrithik's 'superhero' avatar in ''Krrish'' gets overwhelming respons
Mumbai, June 23 (UNI) Hrithik Roshan's latest avatar as 'Superhero' in 'Krrish' today evoked an overwhelming response from the cinegoers across the country, trade sources said here.
''Krrish'' which marks the birth of a ''super hero'' in Hindi films opened today to an unprecendented response, trade sources said.
According to Kumar Mohan, editor of Complete Cinema,a trade magazine, the film has had a extraordinary opening all over the country despite multiplexes hiking the ticket rates by 20 per cent.
''Rakesh Roshan is a skilled director who has incorporated all ingredients of a successful masala film which will be liked by people especially kids. Rakesh had limitations of working on a sequel, but has handled it very efficiently. The film will appeal more to kids who will love to watch a flying superhero'', he said.
Trade analysts said given the tremendous buzz around 'Krrish', the film could turned out to be a buigger hit than 'Fanaa'.
It could earn Rs 50 crore in the first few days. That means it will break records of the Aamir Khan-Kajol blockbuster ''Fanaa'' which covered Rs 32 crores in the first week.
As per the pundits and sources close to Rakesh Roshan, they have already earned more than Rs 100 crores from the merchandise and other aspects apart from Rs 50 crores earned by revenue.
The film is being released with a massive 750 prints.
At the premiere of the film yesterday here in Mumbai, the actor's father and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan was present to guage the audience reaction.
When congratulated a visibily emotional Roshan said,'' I hope this film does well. I have given my life for this movie. Hrithik too has worked very hard.'' A sequel to the hugely successful 2003 film ''Koi Mil gaya'', 'Krrish' marks the return of actor Hrithik Roshan on silver screen after a hiatus of nearly three years.

Krrish stars Hrithik, Priyanka Chopra,Naseeruddin Shah and Rekha and is shot mostly in Singapore.
Hrithik plays Krishna, son of Rohit Mehra from ''Koi Mil Gaya'', born with supernatural powers, as a legacy of his father gifted by the alien ''Jaadu''.
According to sources, Rakesh Roshan is working on a sequel to ''Krrish''. Even Hrithik had said in one of his pre-release interviews that a sequel to Krrish could be planned if the film was well received.
