Free land from mafia by using military: Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai, June 23 (UNI) Welcoming the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's stand making the city of Mumbai free from 'land mafia', Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray today sought toknow who grabbed the lands at Beharampada, Turbhe and Sahar airport areas and demanded that all these lands should be freed by taking the help of military.

In a statement that appeared in Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana today, Mr Thackeray advised Dr Singh to check up the administration of Congress government and find otu which political party was supporting these mafia, before criticising Shiv Sena ruled Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Mr Thackeray further alleged that the Bangladeshi infiltrators are occupying some of these lands and calimed that the state government was unable to vacate these land.

He further said Dr Singh was considered as an intelligent gentleman; but in Delhi politics he is considered as a 'puppet' and his language criticising BMC shows that he was speaking in the language of an 'anti-Maharashtrian' sitting in New Delhi.

He further said Congress was well aware of the capacity of Sena due to which they will not be able to divide Mumbai from Maharashtra and so the Congressmen always target the BMC.

Mr Thackeray further said apart from clearing the city from land mafia, it is necessary to free entire country from 'Corruption'. He said, the union ministers like Laloo Prasad Yadav and Shibu Soren had been in jails on allegations of corruption but they continue to be in the cabinet of Dr Singh.
