Editor held for alleged involvement in sex racket

Dehra Dun, June 23 (UNI) The police today arrested an editor of a monthly magazine and member of Uttaranchal Sahitya Kala Parishad Anand Suman for his alleged involvement in a sex racket.

The police, acting on a tip-off, busted the sex racket and arrested nine persons, including four women, on Wednesday night from THDC colony.

All the nine accused were sent to jail after being produced in the court, the police said.

Dr Suman was arrested from his residence at Sevak Ashram Road after police received information about his alleged involvement.

''His cell number was found with other accused persons and he also reportedly tried to put pressure on police for their release,'' the police added.
