Cognizance against BPSC assistant secretary

Patna, Jun 23 (UNI) Special Vigilance judge of Patna Ramniwas Prasad today took cognizance against Assistant Secratary of Bihar Public Service Commission(BPSC) T N Singh and one other in corruption case.

The designated judge took cognizance against Mr Singh and an assistant in BPSC Bhimsen Prasad under verious sectionS of Prevention of Corruption(PC) Act.

During the day State Vigilance Investigation Bureau produced sanction order, granted by the state government to prosecute these accused under PC act.

The case was related to irregularities committed by BPSC in recomendation of a candidate Arun Kumar Sinha for the post of the manager of Moinul Haque Stadium of Patna.

Altogether seven people were named accused, including BPCC Chairman, its two members, Deputy Secratary and Assistant Secretary.

The Bureau had already submitted chargesheet in the case.
