BJYM activists stage protests

Rajahmundry, Jun 23 (UNI) More than 100 activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today staged a dharna in front of the municipal corporation health officer's office to protest against the inaction of the department in stopping the spread of 'Chikun Guniya' in the town.

Speaking on the occasion BJYM town President Shatriya Balasubramanya Singh said despite several requests the health officer failed to take any action to check the spread of the fever.

He alleged that no treatment was started at municipal dispensaries.

He demanded that municipal corporation should conduct a free medical camp and supply medicines besides fogging all the divisions in the town.

He said his party would intensify the agitation if officials concerned failed to take remedial action.
