15 persons, including 7 CRPF personnel injured in Srinagar blasts

Srinagar, Jun 23 (UNI) A series of grenade blasts left 15 persons, including seven Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel injured in the city today, official sources said.

Official sources said militants today hurled a hand grenade towards security forces at Naaz crossing. However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside causing injuries to three Pedestrains, includng two women. The injured were hospitalised.

Two CRPF personnel were injured in a grenade blast at Reka Chowk Batmaloo last night.

Official sources said militants hurled a hand grenade towards a CRPF patrol party near Shamhan Ghat at Karan Nagar this afternoon.

They said ten person, half of them CRPF personnel were injured.

The injured were hospitalised.

A CRPF spokesman told UNI that militants hurled the grenade on a patrol party from a moving vehicle.
