Pvt unaided medical colleges in Rajasthan can conduct own CET: SC

New Delhi, June 22 (UNI) The Supreme Court today permitted private unaided medical and dental colleges in Rajasthan to conduct their own admission on the basis of Common Entrance Test to be conducted by the federation.

A vacation bench, comprising Mr Justice A R Lakshmanan and Mr Justice Altamas kabir, today set aside the Rajasthan High Court order that the directions for giving admissions in medical colleges in the state based on Common Entrance Test held by university of Rajasthan shall be applicable to private unaided medical colleges also.

The Apex Court observed ''this direction is quite contrary to the number of judgement rendered by this Court.Therefore we set aside the aforesaid direction in so far as private unaided colleges are concerned. Special Leave Petitions are disposed off.'' UNI AKS/SC SHR VA VV1211
