Itanagar, Jun 22 (UNI) Opposition leader of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Kameng Dolo said the law of the land will take an appropriate action against any individual on the 'office of profit' issue.

It may be mentioned here that Arunachal Pradesh BJP unit had submitted supporting documents of 25 MLA's, including the Chief Minister's, to Governor S K Singh in support of its claim on the 'office of profit' issue in separate petitions.

In response to the petitions, the Governor has referred the question to the Election Commission (EC) for its opinion.

The EC later served notices on June 14 last and urged all the elected members who were allegedly holding two posts simultaneously to file a written statement along with necessary documents, on or before June 28.

Talking to newsmen here yesterday on the office of profit issue, the BJP leader, who was one of the signatories, said ''we have done our duty from our side, now law will take appropriate step in this matter''.
