AHCL to invest Rs 2,000 to build townships in seven cities

New Delhi, Jun 22 (UNI) Real Estate player Ansal Housing and Construction Ltd (AHCL), today said it plans to pump in Rs 2,000 crore in the next four months, to build residential townships in seven Tier II and Tier III cities across the country.

Having made a strong impact on the Delhi NCR region already, AHCL will now be expanding to Agra, Indore, Jammu, Rewari, Karnal, Meerut and Ghaziabad.

AHCL President Kushagr Ansal said, ''We aim to develop residential townships in Tier II cities that will be designed and built to match international standards. We will be covering an area of 1400 acres at a cost of Rs 2,000 crore.'' The Ansal towns which centre around the concept of modern living will offer varied amenities like a clubhouse, swimming pool, schools etc.

The first town will come up in Agra next month across 130 acres.

It will have total dwellings of 1250 and is valued at Rs 200 crore. This will be followed by a town in Indore by August at Rs 250 crore across 60 acres. The Jammu town will be up by September and is valued at Rs 200 crore across 125 acres.

AHCL has constructed various multi-crore residential and commercial high-rise buildings like Ansal Plaza in Delhi and Golf Links I and II in Greater Noida.
