24 teams to take part in Jr National Football for girls

New Delhi, June 22 (UNI) Twenty-four teams from all over the country will vie for the top honours in the third Junior National Footbal Chammpionship for girls (under-17) which will be played in Chandigarh between July 10 to 17.

The teams have been divided into eight groups and one team from each group will qualify for the quaterfinals to be played between July 17-22.

On the opening day, Manipur will take on Jammu and Kashmir while Orissa will meet Bihar. Hosts Chandigarh will face the Chhatisgarh eves while Tamil Nadu play Jharkhand.
