Court directs Police to lodge FIR against Poojari

Mumbai, June 20 (UNI) A Metropolitan court here today directed the police to register an FIR against former investigating officer Sudhakar Poojari, who was transferred recently, for his alleged links with an underworld don and investigate the matter.

The court has passed the order following an application by Baban Kadam, an accused in the MPSC (Maharashtra Public Service Commission) scam who sought to reopen his private complaint lodged against Poojari.

After hearing the arguement of the petitioner, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate S Y Shisode has directed the Colaba police to file an FIR against Poojari and investigate the matter.

Earlier, Kadam had filed the private complaint in Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court alleging that Poojari had links with underworld dons.
