IIM-A starts 'customised' management course for CEOs of Indian MNCs
Ahmedabad, June 19 (UNI) Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) and US-based Duke Corporate Education (Duke-CE) today formalised a collaboration for imparting 'customised corporate education' to top level executives, particularly of Indian Multi-National Corporations (MNCs).
The agreement was signed between IIMA director Bakul Dholakia and Duke-CE CEO Blair Sheppard here today.
Addressing a joint press conference later, they said that the fees would range from USD 100 to 6,000 per day, depending on the nature of the course. The training could be at the Duke-CE or IIM-A campus or at the company's premises.
As the name suggests, the course content is customised to suit the specific needs of the client, as against the ''stereotyped'' two-year Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) or shorter Management Development Programmes (MDP) offered at B-Schools to a number of students, they said.
Duke-CE is the wholly-owned subsidiary and spin-off of the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University at Durham, having 70 clients worldwide, including Goldman Sachs, IBM, Lehman Brotehrs, PwC, Microsoft, Merck, Siemens, Shell and Wal-Mart.
While Duke-CE is being ranked as the world's leading provider of 'customised corporate education' by 'Financial Times' for the last four years and by 'Business Week' for the last two years, IIM-A is recognised as the best B-School in the Asia-Pacific region.
