Former International badminton player dead

Bhubaneswar, June 17 (UNI) Former International badminton player Sanat Mishra, who represented India in Seoul Asiad, South Asian Federation Games and All England Badminton Doubles Tournament died here today.

He was 44.

He is survived by his wife and daughter.

Family sources said Mr Mishra had gone to the bathroom this morning and suffered from a possible brain hemorrhage. The family members came to know about the incident much later.

When he did not respond, they broke open the door and found him lying on the floor in an unconscious state. He was immediately taken to the Capital Hospital where the Doctors declared him brought dead.

Mr Mishra was serving as the Sport Welfare Officer in the East Coast Railways. He had won thrice Man's double National championship, four time in National mixed doubles championship, got gold in South Asian Federation Games in doubles, bronze medal in the doubles in Seoul Asiad Games in 1986 and participated All England Badminton championship five times.
