World-Ronaldo taken to clinic, 'no abnormality'
KOENIGSTEIN, Germany, June 15 (Reuters) Brazil striker Ronaldo was taken to a clinic last night complaining of dizziness and headaches but ''no abnormality'' was found, according to team sources.
A CBF source told Reuters that the forward, who scored twice in the 2002 final victory over Germany, was driven back to the team camp at around 1 a.m (2300 GMT) and was scheduled to return to training later today.
The 29-year-old has been badly struggling for form in the run-in to his fourth World Cup and was jeered when he was substituted in Brazil's opening Group F 1-0 victory over Croatia on Tuesday.
He suffered a mystery illness shortly before the 1998 final and was a pale shadow of his usual, potent self in Brazil's 3-0 defeat by France in Paris.
