SBI launches cash back scheme on ATM card in ten cities

Jamshedpur, Jun 15 (UNI) State Bank of India(SBI) today launched its SBI ATM-cum-debit card scheme in the ten selected cities in the country, including the steel city, here.

Launching the scheme the deputy general manager of SBI A K Gupta said the scheme begining from tomorrow would be valid till July 16 and the card holders would get six percent cash back for total purchases more than Rupees 10,000 and cash back valid on cumulative purchases of Rs 501 and above during the offer period.

He said the 92,500 SBI ATM card holders here could use the card in 248 authorised local merchants through Point of Sales (POS) terminals.

Mr Gupta said, '' Our aim is to populasrise the scheme and the bank is expecting to do five times more transactions from this month-long scheme. '' Apart from the new scheme, the SBI had also introduced Core Banking Solutions (CBS) with the help of technology in the 19, out of 22 branches here and the SBI had set target to introduce CBS in all the 9,500 branches across the country by this fiscal, Mr Gupta said.
