RWAs file complaint against BSES Yamuna chief for abetting power
New Delhi, June 15 (UNI) Residents of East Delhi and members of the United Residents Joint Action (URJA), the apex body of resident welfare associations from Delhi, today lodged a complaint to the police against BSES Yamuna CEO Arun Kanchan and the COO Yashpal Mehra of BYPL for large-scale power theft in their area.
East Delhi residents along with members of URJA and People's Action registered their complaint with the Anand Vihar SHO, requesting the registration of an FIR against Mr Kanchan and Mr Mehra holding them responsible for large-scale power theft in their area and attempt to profit at the expense of honest consumers of power.
''BYPL has full knowledge of power theft in the area under its control since the last four years: it has refused to act against them for dubious reasons causing unbridled power tariff hikes and created enormous liabilities for the state and the citizens. It must pay us back,'' Rajesh Dokwal, East Delhi Coordinator of URJA, said.
