President Kalam meets FIFA Fair Play Flag bearers

New Delhi, Jun 15 (UNI) President APJ Abdul Kalam met the four kids who will represent India as FIFA Fair Play Flag bearers in the Australia-Croatia match at the ongoing World Cup in Germany on June 22.

''Fair play is not only important in sports but also in life. You should become good citizens not only of the nation but of the world,'' Dr Kalam told the kids, who got the opportunity after winning a contest organised by ESPN and Adidas.

The President, known for his fondness for kids, gave the children an opportunity to ask questions on the subject of their liking in a freewheeling discussion.

The visibly happy kids -- Shreshth Shah from Kolkata, Ajiteshwar Singh from Delhi, Sachit Kamlesh Yadav from Mumbai and PS Sudarshan from Bangalore -- who were excited to meet the President said, ''The meeting with President is like a dream come true.
