Manipur Government to appoint 209 college teachers

Imphal, Jun 15 (UNI) Manipur government has decided to appoint 209 college teachers through Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC).

State officials said the decision was taken in a state cabinet meet yesterday. The cabinet also discussed the prevailing law and order situation in Manipur. The suspension of operations against some Kuki militants was discussed.

Meanwhile, the government had failed to solve the ongoing cease work strike of state government employees which had been going on almost two months now. All works in the state government offices were disrupted due to the strike. Officials said the state government had already expressed inability to meet the demands of the employees due to financial constraint.
