St Lucia, June 15 (UNI) Despite snatching yet another draw from the jaws of defeat, West Indies captain Brian Lara is sulking after the selectors turned a deaf ear to his demand for a genuine fast bowler who could torment the Indians on lively greentops.

''I want somebody bowling at 90 mph-plus. I need a fast bowler who makes the opposition uncomfortable, especially if the pitch is in his favour,'' Lara told reporters after the drawn second Test here.

''I've spoken to the selectors and I feel it's unfortunate I'm getting negative feedback because of that,'' he added.

The skipper, who hit a match-saving 120-run knock after his side followed on when India declared their first essay on a mammoth 588 for eight, said only quick bowlers held the key to thwarting India's formidable batting line-up.

Lara said the selectors are not willing to understand the issue and called on them to have more faith in him as the captain of the side.

''I think as captain of the team, they must have some sort of trust in that person,'' a frustrated Lara said.

He said injury to Fidel Edwards has created a void in the pace department which needs to be filled at the earliest to contain India in the rest of the series. Lara felt medium pacers, despite having the ability to move the ball, could not take advantage of a green track.

''We've got guys with lesser pace who can move the ball around like Corey Collymore, Pedro Collins, Jerome Taylor and Ian Bradshaw, but I feel it's necessary to have that genuine fast bowler for the remainder of this series,'' he said.

''Fidel Edwards got injured but we have a couple of guys in Tino Best and Jermaine Lawson,'' he added.

Lara asserted that the Indians had problem playing on fast wickets, which can be exploited only by a genuine pacer.

''I'm not asking for anything untoward which is going to raise eyebrows. You speak to the Indians and they'll tell you if you produce something with a bit of grass they will be found wanting,'' he claimed.

''It's time for India to start worrying about our fast bowlers,'' he added.
