Karuna keen on ushering in IT revolution in TN
Bangalore, Jun 15: Tamil Nadu will soon bring in a comprehensive Information Technology policy to usher in IT revolution in the State, Chief Minister M Karunanidhi announced today.
Talking to newspersons after holding a 45-minute meeting with Wipro chief Azim Premji on the IT major's campus here, he said the policy would involve setting up of a task force and addressing issues related to infrastructural aspects. Simultaneously, overall development of tier-II cities like Madurai, Coimbatore and Tirunelveli would be taken care of. Efforts would be made to ensure that the growth achieved by Bangalore was replicated in Chennai.

Dayanidhi
Maran
while
visiting
the
Wipro
facility.
Mr
Karunanidhi,
who
was
here
on
a
three-day
private
visit,
was
also
likely
to
meet
other
leaders
in
the
sector
and
pay
a
visit
to
IT
bellwether
Infosys
later
in
the
day.
