VIENNA, June 15 (Reuters) Iran is seriously considering incentives offered by the big powers for it to suspend its nuclear programme and hopes for an amicable solution, Iran's ambassador to the U.N.
nuclear watchdog said today.
''The package is under serious consideration,'' Iranian ambassador Ali Asghar Soltanieh told a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-nation governing board in Vienna.
''There is a clear indication of political will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to find amicable solution through dialogue and negotiation.'' The five UN Security Council permanent members plus Germany offered Iran a batch of sweeteners on June 6 to stop enriching uranium, which Tehran says would generate electricity but which the West sees as a disguised atomic bomb project.
