Govt cuts import duty on palm and soybean oil
New Delhi, June 15 (UNI) The Government today effected a cut in base import prices of palm and soybean oils in tune with the overseas prices.
The price of crude palm oil has been reduced to 424 dollars a tonne from 430 dollars, while for crude soybean oil, it has been cut to 542 dollar from 559 dollars a tonne, according to an official statement here.
The government cut the price of RBD palm oil from 445 dollar to 439 dollar a tonne, and other palm oils from 438 dollar a tonne.
Crude palmolein prices were fixed at 446 dollar a tonne compared to previous rate of 452 dollar a tonne, while RBD palmolein was fixed at 449 dollar down from 455 dollar a tonne.
Other palmolein import prices are set at 448 dollar a tonne against 454 dollar a tonne previously.
