Four killed and one ex-militant injured in Kashmir

Srinagar, June 15 (UNI) Four persons were killed a former militant was shot at and wounded in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said.

They said unidentified gunmen shot dead Pervez Ahmad Bhat, manager of a petrol pump, at Laroo under police station Kulgam in south Kashmir district of Anantnag last night.

Gunmen later killed a former militant Azad Ahmad Dar at Mirpora under the same police station.

Sources said a surrendered militant Abdul RAshid Khan, who was shot at and wounded by militants at Sopore in Baramulla district, died in the hospital this morning. Another person wounded in a shootout at Kupwara two days ago also died in the hospital.

Militant shot at and wounded Bilal Ahmad, a former ultra, at Safa Kadal in the down town city last night. He was admitted to Sher-e- Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences at Soura in a critical condition.
