17 held on flesh trade charges from Vadodara guest house

Vadodara, June 15 (UNI) The police have arrested 17 people, including eight women, on flesh trade charges following a raid on a guest house in the posh Karelibaug area here last night.

Karelibaug police sources today said acting on a tip-off, a team, led by Police Inspector H G Gadvi, raided one Srinathji Guest House located close to the Nagarwada police outpost, where the prostitution racket was reportedly running for the last six months.

Besides the women, they have also rounded up nine people including five customers, three pimps and the guest house owner, the sources said.

They have also seized an autorickshaw, three motorbikes and four cellphones from the possession of the accused, who have been booked under the Suppression of Immoral Trafficking Act, the sources added.
