Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Q4 net at Rs 19.4 crore, dividend at 10 pc

Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 19.4 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 1.8 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.

Announcing the results, the Company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 357.2 crore in Q4 FY 04-05 to Rs 644.3 crore for Q4 FY 05-06.

It has posted a net profit of Rs 61.3 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 33.8 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05). Total Income (net of excise) rose from Rs 1064.7 crore in FY 04-05 to Rs 1831.7 crore for FY 05-06.

Apart from dividend of Rs 2.04 crore on Optionally Convertible Cumulative Preference Shares (OCCPS) (already converted into Equity Shares) of Rs 10 each, the Board recommended dividend of 10 per cent on Equity Share Capital.
