Six arrested for betting on World Cup football match

Anand, June 14 (UNI) Six people were arrested for placing on-line bets before the Brazil vs Croatia World Cup football match, by the police here late last night.

The police recovered electronic goods worth Rs three lakh from them.

The accused were caught red-handed by the police team which raided an apartment on the outskirts of the city, on the Anand-Lambhvel road. They had taken the flat on rent and a computer, laptop, camcorder, blank cassettes were among things recovered from them the police said.
