Varanasi, June 14 (UNI) Reiterating his resolve of not quitting Lok Sabha membership despite being expelled by the Samajwadi Party, cine actor and Jan Dal convenor Raj Babbar today ruled out joining hands with erstwhile BJP leaders including Uma Bharti in the run up to the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls due next year.

''There is no question of resigning from LS, as I contested the election over socialist ideology, for which the SP served as a platform only,'' the Agra MP told newspersons here.

Babbar said instead the SP MPs should resign from the lower house of Parliament, as their party had become a forum of capitalists and fixers and no longer believed in espousing the socialist cause of Lohia and Jai Prakash Narayan.

''The SP is now led by a follower of capitalists and not leaders, who represent the commoners including farmers and workers.

''SP leader Mulayam Singh Yadav is no longer Dharti Putra (son of soil), but has become Punjipati Putra (son of capitalists),'' Mr Babbar alleged.

When asked about the future of Jan Dal -- a constellation parties -- the outfit's convenor said it would take a lead in ousting the SP government from power in UP during the next assembly elections.

Not ruling out alignments with 'like minded' parties in the 2007 polls in UP, Babbar, however, ruled out any possibility of a tie-up with any of the outfits carved by former BJP leaders.

''There is no question of aligning with any such leaders inlcuding Uma Bharti, as they still sang the communal song of the BJP, despite coming out of the parent party. They cannot leave their communal agenda and hence we will never even dream of joining hands with them,'' he asserted.
