NGO Assn. to take out Secretariat, collectorate march

Kozhikode, Jun 14 (UNI) The Kerala Non-Gazetted Officers' Association will take out marches to the state secretariat and district collectorates in protest against 'en masse' transfers of employees by the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in the state.

Hundreds of employees owing allegiance to other political parties had been transferred with the consent of ministers concerned after the CPI(M)-led LDF government assumed office in the state, Association president R Rajan Kurukkal told reporters here today.

Stating that 67 village officers were transferred in Thiruvananthapuram alone, he called upon the government to revoke the postings ordered by violating service rules.

He also urged the government to sanction three more instalments of dearness allowances, due for long, to the employees without further delay.
