Kolkata, June 14 (UNI) Former India captain Sourav Ganguly today said he was looking forward to doing well for Northamptonshire after the southpaw scored a blistering 76 in the final of P Sen Trophy here.

Batting first, Kalighat piled up 308 for three in 50 overs and in reply East Bengal were all out for 261.

Playing for East Bengal, Ganguly could not shine with the ball giving 45 runs in seven overs. But, he came into his elements when he held the willow.

He danced down the wicket and lofted the balls over long on and long off and cut and drove visciously to score 76 off only 67 deliveries. The Prince of Kolkata hit nine boundaries and four sixers during his stay at the crease.

Manoj Tiwari top-scored for Kalighat with 78 runs.

After the match, Ganguly said, ''I am not going to the county to enjoy myself. I am going to perfom.'' ''I want to be in competitive cricket and hope to give a quality performance for the county side,'' he said.

Ganguly, who had been repeatedly ignored by the selectors form the national team, leaves for England tomorrow for Northampton where he will play in a series of Twenty20 matches and also matches against Pakistan.
