Cycle rally to be taken out to campaign against drugs

Imphal, June 14 (UNI) The All Manipur Anti-Drug Association (AMADA) will observe the International Day against drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking on June 26 in a grand fashion.

The convenor, publicity of the AMADA, Abe Chanu said the observation will begin from June 21 in which a mass cycle rally will start from Kangla, Imphal.

The cyclists will go to Bishenpur district then proceed towards Churachandpur district, then proceed towards Thoubal district, Imphal East and culminate at Khuman Lampak main stadium. During the six-day cycle campaign the cyclists will organise meetings to spread message against drugs and liquor.

About 300 cyclists will take part and about 600 people including medical staff will be engaged to support the rally.
