Phillipino lady arrested at IGI Airport with 2 kg heroin
New Delhi, Jun 13 (UNI) A 33-year-old Phillipines national was today arrested by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials at the IGI Airport here this afternoon while she was trying to smuggle heroin worth two crore.
Maso Ballo, was arrested at about 1300 hrs, minutes before she was to board a Bangkok-bound Thai Airways flight, according to sources.
On checking her suitcase after being intercepted by DRI officials, two kilograms of high quality heroin worth Rs two crore in the international market, were recovered.
She was later produced before a local court here which remanded her to 14-day judicial custody.
