Jatha of 3000 Sikh pilgrims leaves for Pakistan

Attari, June 13 (UNI) A 'jatha' of about 3000 Sikh pilgrims today left for Pakistan, where they will observe the 400th martyrdom day of fifth Guru, Arjan Dev at the historic gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore.

The 'jatha' led by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member Bibi Balwinder Kaur left by three special trains of the Indian Railways from here.

Besides paying obesiance at Dera Sahib, the 'jatha' will also visit the historic shrines of Panja Sahib and Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak. The 'jatha' will return on June 21.
