New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) The Indian Peoples Forward Bloc today demanded the dismissal of the Delhi Government for its failure to hold elections for village Panchayats.

The IPFB, led by its national secretary R P Sharma, held a public demonstration and submitted a memorandum to Delhi Lt Governor B L Joshi demanding dismissal of the state government as it had failed to hold elections to the village panchayats which is mandated under Article 243 B of the Constitution.

At the same time, he also called for dissolution of the NDMC and the MCD as they had failed to constitute the District-Metropolitan Planning Committee during the last ten years thereby breaching provisions under Article 243-ZD and 243-ZE.

Mr Sharma demanded constitution of elected village panchayats, district-Metropolitan planning committee and disbanding of DDA cadres and structures involved in ex-post-facto master planning.

''The DDA is acting illegally and usurping the jurisdiction which is constitutionally assigned to the District-Metropolitan Planning committee. This amounts to duplication of work,'' Mr Sharma said.
