Delhi bags award for Outstanding Performance in Power Sector

New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) Delhi has been adjudged as one of the best performing states in the 'rating of state power sector' by the union Power Ministry.

The rating was on the basis of study conducted by Crisil and ICRA.

Delhi won the 2nd runner up award for its outstanding performance in implementation of power sector reforms covering all states in the country, a statement said here today.

Delhi Principal Secretary (Power) and Delhi Transco CMD Rakesh Mehta along with Director (Operations) S R Sethi, received the award from union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.

This was the third time when the initiatives of Delhi Government had been recognised.

Union Power Secretary R V Shahi was also present on the occasion.
