Commercial flights from Pondy airport commence tomorrow

Pondicherry, June 13 (UNI) Commercial flights from Pondicherry airport will resume tomorrow with the Delhi-based Jagson airlines operating an 18 seater Dornier aircraft.

Mr Vinod Kumar, head and business development officer of the airlines, said in a release here today that flights from Pondicherry to Tirupathi, Chennai and Bangalore would be operated.

The fare to Chennai would be Rs 1,712, while for Tirupathi and Bangalore it would be Rs 2,721. Flights would be operated on all days except Sundays, he said. The first flight will be to Tirupathi.

Pondicherry Lt Governor M M Lakhera, Chief Secretary C S Khairwal, Secretary to the Government Anbarasu, President and CEO Jagson airlines U K Bose and Koustav Dhar, Vice-President, Global Strategy and Sales/Marketing, Jagson Airlines, among others, would attend the inagural function at 1000 hours here tomorrow.
