CBI court orders release of Lalu's passport

Ranchi, June 13 (UNI) Two special CBI courts hearing the multi crore rupee fodder scam cases today ordered to release the passport of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad in view of his four nation official tour commencing on June 23.

Special CBI judges S N Prasad and U S P Sinha hearing the case ordered the release of passport for a limited period on the request of Mr Yadav's counsel, who informed the court that the Railway minister was to visit France, Germany, UK and Italy from June 23 for official reasons.

Mr Prasad has been made accused in five of the fodder scam cases, which are being heard by special CBI courts here. However, one special court hearing two other cases against the Railway minister has not given any order regarding release of passport as yet.
