ACB files FIR against Rane supporter Shiv Sena MLA

Mumbai, June 13 (UNI) Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed an FIR against Shiv Sena MLA Vijay Waddetiwar for duping a contractor for Rs 3.5 lakh.

This was informed by Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Ramdas Kadam at a press conference.

He said Mr Waddetiwar had taken Rs 3.5 lakh from one contractor Abdul Patel on promise of giving him work and duped him. Patel moved the Sessions court who directed that the ACB file an FIR against the Sena MLA.

Mr Kadam who distributed copies of the FIR and the court judgement to the media, said he would discuss the issue with Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray and the final decision regarding Waddetiwar's continuance in the party and Legislative assembly would be taken by Mr Thackeray.

Mr Waddetiwar is supporter of Revenue Minister Narayan Rane.
