Sodhi 20th in Trap, Amardeep 85th in Skeet in Suhl World Cup

New Delhi, June 12 (UNI) Leading the Indian challenge in the absence of Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Ronjan Sodhi could not make his mark and finished a poor 20th in the men's Trap event at the ISSF Shooting World Cup in Suhl, Germany.

Sodhi shot a score of 134 with a series of 46,45 and 43.

Compatriot Vikram Bhatnagar finished 33rd with a score of 128 (46,42,40) while Vikram Chopra finished 51st with 110 (38,36,36).

The Gold and the Olympic quota place in this event was won by Hu Binyuan of China with a score of 190 (144+46), while Richard Faulds of Great Britain won the Silver with 186 (139+47) and Russian Vitaly Fokeev bagged the Bronze with 186 (140+46).

There was a shoot off to decide the Silver medal which was won by Faulds who shot four as compared to three by Fokeev.

Meanwhile, Amardeep Singh Rai finished 85th in the men's Skeet event after totalling 105 (18,21,21,21,24), while Baba Bedi finished 89th with 103 (21,20,19,21,22).

The Gold in this event was won by Tino Wengel of Germany with 145 (121+24), while the Silver went to Mikola Milchev of Ukaraine with 144 (119+25) while Jose Juan Arambura of Spain won the Bronze with 143 (120+23).
