Rs 3.86 lakhs looted from rural bank

Giridih, June 12 (UNI) Armed miscreants today looted around Rs four lakhs of cash from the Regional Rural Bank in Chichaki under Sariya police station of this district.

Superintendent of police Arun Kumar Singh said the robbers, numbering eight, forcedly entered the bank and overpowered the staff and a few customers present there.

They looted Rs 3.86 lakhs from the cash box and fled with the booty.

Raids were being conducted to nab them.
