London, June 12 (Reuters) Following are some of the major events to have occurred on June 13 since 1900: 1900 - The Boxer rebellion began in China. The secret society was dedicated to ending the domination and exploitation of the country by foreigners.
1944 - The first of Germany's revolutionary V-1 flying-bombs hit southern England.
1971 - Geraldine Brodrick gave birth to nine babies in Australia, one of the few recorded instances of nonuplets.
1983 - The US spacecraft Pioneer 10 crossed the orbit of Neptune and became the first man-made object to leave the solar system.
1986 - Benny Goodman died. He was one of the first American bandleaders to break the colour bar by hiring black musicians.
1994 - North Korea announced it was withdrawing from the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency and would no longer permit its inspectors into the country.
2000 - Italy granted clemency to Turkish gunman Mehmet Ali Agca, who had been jailed in 1981 for the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul.
2002 - Hamid Karzai won Afghanistan's presidential election in a landslide vote among delegates at a historic grand assembly, the Loya Jirga.
2003 - A landmark Convention on the Future of Europe adopted the first draft constitution for an enlarged European Union by consensus, 46 years after the founding Treaty was signed.
2005 - US pop star Michael Jackson was cleared of all charges in a sex abuse trial that threatened to destroy his career.
