Malaria death toll raises to 25 in Mizoram
Aizawl, June 12 (UNI) Malaria has claimed 25 lives in Mizoram till May this year.
Health officials here today said while malaria related deaths between January and April was 14, May alone saw 11 malaria related deaths.
Doctors and health officials were worried at the rise in malaria deaths and has embarked on massive awareness campaign.
The public has been informed to take medicines available free of cost from the Drug Distribution Centres (DDCs) located in the villages.
About 800 DCCs were set up by the health department to give medicines, DDT sprays and mosquito nets free of cost.
