Mumbai, June 12 (UNI) Larsen&Toubro Ltd (L&T) has secured a Rs 481.6 crore Turnkey order for setting up a water supply system for the Bisalpur Water Supply Project from the Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project.

Announcing this to BSE, the company said this project, aided by the Asian Development Bank, will be executed by the Company's ECC Division.

It will cater to the increasing water demand of Jaipur city and thus reduce the city's dependence on its ground-water resources.

When completed, the project will ensure supply of 360 million litres per day (MLD) of treated water to Jaipur city and 40 MLD for the adjoining rural areas.

Major scope of work includes design, supply, laying, jointing, testing and commissioning of 106-km long mild steel pipelines and a 400-MLD capacity water treatment plant. providing pumping machinery, electrical, instrumentation and automation works also falls within the scope of this project which has a scheduled completion period of 30 months.
