Jt tourism secy to represent India at Colombo travel mart

New Delhi, June 12 (UNI) Joint Secretary Ministry of Tourism Amitabh Kant will represent India at the 'Gateway to South Asia-Travel Mart', which will be held for the fourth consecutive year from June 16-18 in Colombo.

The exhibitor profile from India this year will also include State Tourism Boards and National Tourism Organisation (NTO).

Also, the CMD of nine-property Historic Resorts and Places (HRH) group of hotels Arvind Singh Mewar will speak on Heritage tourism.

About 200 buyers and 150 international and local exhibitors are expected to participate in the travel mart.

It will also see first time participation of Tourism Malaysia led by Director-India Mr Manoharan and private sector travel industry from Malaysia , popularising the Visit Malaysia 2007 campign.

Besides traditional markets such as the UK, France, Germany and India, many new markets such as China and South Korea showed a keen interest by sending large delegations to attend the travel mart last year.
