Big B, Ash proposed as Kerala Tourism Brand Ambassadors
Kochi, Jun 12 (UNI) A proposal to rope in Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai as the 'Brand Ambassadors' for Kerala Tourism is under the consideration of the state government.
According to official sources, a proposal to this effect had been mooted some time back. The LDF Government, which assumed office last month, is yet to decide on the matter, they added.
The Bollywood stars were proposed to be made Brand Ambassadors for Kerala Tourism in an effort to attract tourists from North India in bigger numbers. Among the best known tourism brands from India, Kerala has been listed by the National Geographic among the 50 must-see destinations in the world, under the heading ''Paradise Found''. The only other Indian entry is the Taj Mahal.
Mr Bachchan was in the picturesque tea growing hill station of Munnar in Kerala for a one month-long film shooting recently.
