500 govt hospitals in Rajasthan to operate 24 hours

Sriganganagar, June 12 (UNI) Around 500 government hospitals in Rajasthan will soon provide round-the-clock medical service for patients.

The state government has already identified 300 hospitals in various districts for the purpose. The rest would be named shortly.

State health minister Digambar Singh informed that diagnosis, medical treatment and operation facilities would be made available to patients 24 hours a day.

While inaugurating a MRI machine at a private hospital here, Dr Singh said medical relief societies would be established in primary medical centres and the state government would provide Rs 1 lakh to each of the centres for the purpose.

Dr Singh also said all district hospitals would be given Rs 1.5 crore for buying equipment and development works.
