Transporters and Truck operators to go on strike

Hyderabad, June 11 (UNI) The Transporters and Truck Operators Federation in the State have decided to extend their support to the All India Motor Transport Congress for the one-day nation-wide strike protesting against the recent price hike in Petrol and Diesel.

The Managing Committee of the Federation reviewed the recent price hike in diesel and petrol and expressed their concern over the increase.

General Secretary of the Federation Mr Syed Nazeer in a statement said the Transport Industries were suffering heavily due to the hike in fuel prices and Value Added Tax (VAT). He alleged the Central Government had been increasing the fuel prices without taking into consideration the interests of the Transport Industry, He said the Federatiion will go on a strike in the state from midnight tomorrow till June 13.
